PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The MAG 14,000® hinged magnet is a retrofittable permanent magnet that can be installed at any point along a pipe without requiring any additional work, helping to prevent material contamination and machine downtime.
Once secured around the pipe, the MAG 14,000® is ready for use. No external power source is required. The principle behind the MAG 14.000® is easy to understand: once installed, it creates a magnetic tunnel that can be expanded by adding additional magnets.
What makes the MAG 14.000® unique is that ferritic contaminants do not adhere directly to the magnet—which would make cleaning difficult—but instead adhere to the inside of the pipe. If the magnet is folded away during a pause in conveying or at scheduled maintenance intervals, the magnetic field is deactivated. The ferritic material contaminants can then be discharged at suitable locations. We therefore always recommend installing it with a hose, a hose coupling, or attaching it to a suction lance, as this ensures low conveying speeds and a convenient discharge point.
In principle, the MAG 14.000® is significantly more flexible and user-friendly compared to bar magnets, which are installed in hard-to-reach locations and require more time-consuming cleaning. The price-performance ratio of the MAG 14.000 is also extremely attractive.
