PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Pipe couplings are very often used in pressure conveying. In the plastics industry, they are therefore very often found on an external silo. Michel Tube pipe couplings are available in various materials, with the zinc-plated steel version being the most frequently used. A range from 150mm to 200mm is usually preferred for the lengths. Clamping is then carried out using three or four screws. Similar to the pipe connectors, sealing is achieved via a flat gasket. It is important to know and note that the pipe couplings only have a sealing function for the pipe and cannot hold it in the axial direction in the event of pressure surges. For this, we strongly recommend using a strain relief.
