The Switch&Lock® 360 quick-connect coupling from Michel Tube stands out for its ease of use: the operator simply needs to connect the male and female parts—without having to worry about the positioning of the female coupling. The coupling can be clearly heard and seen when it engages, as the locking pin is equipped with a visual indicator—a red-backlit mark. This makes it possible to immediately determine—even in hard-to-reach areas or from a distance—whether the system is correctly locked. It is essentially impossible for the system to disengage—even under vibration.

Thanks to the guidance provided by the two bodies and the radii on the sockets, it is extremely easy for the operator to thread the hose cleanly, even when the hose is twisted. First, the sockets slide over one another, and then the delivery tube is inserted into the socket. Thus, the system features two guide tubes that ensure mechanical stability.

The coupling can be connected at any angle up to 360 degrees. To disconnect it, the specially shaped spring pin is lifted with one or both hands.

The coupling is available in three materials and corresponding price ranges, with the entry-level version featuring a plastic housing, followed by aluminum and stainless steel versions for highly sensitive applications. Since the tube adapter is always made of stainless steel, the Switch&Lock® 360 coupling—across all variants—generally consists solely of stainless steel parts that come into contact with the product. If the all-stainless-steel version is selected, the system consists of nearly 100% stainless steel.

By attaching so-called coding rings—even retroactively—the coupling can be easily and inexpensively color-coded or mechanically coded; the mechanical patterns repeat every 120°. In total, up to 55 different patterns are theoretically available, although the mechanical application is primarily intended to reliably demarcate smaller systems or different piping lines. For more diverse applications, we recommend RFID coding, which is also compatible with the Switch&Lock® 360 coupling.

Upon request, the coupling or the插销 can be customized with an engraving—for example, with the machine number or internal codes.
