Michel Tube Engineering GmbH will unveil an innovative aluminum pipe connector at Fakuma 2026. In addition to cost-effective manufacturing, the new aluminum coupling stands out for its ease of installation, which is made possible by an injection-molded 3D sealing sleeve. 

Injection molding ensures precision
The injection-molding process used for the seal minimizes all tolerances. It features a closed, internally roughened surface and chamfers around the circumference that facilitate tube insertion. The sleeve is equipped with sealing grooves that compensate for pipe tolerances, enabling tactile insertion verification and offering a particular advantage during vertical pipe installation, as the sealing grooves hold the connector against the pipe, making it easier to insert and screw on the second pipe.
A recess in the center of the seal allows for the insertion of a stainless steel plate, referred to as a seal protector. In addition to improved electrical conductivity at the joint, this prevents contact between the conveyed medium and the seal. 

Focus on the Seal – Integrated Torque Control
The 3D sealing sleeve forms the core of the new AluGrip aluminum pipe connector from Michel Tube. It is tamper-proof, mounted between the two screws, and cannot be pushed out when the pipe is threaded in. Thanks to the form-fit design in the locking area, the coupling has no dead space and clearly indicates the assembly status to the installer. The so-called torque control—where the seal protrudes all the way to the body—is particularly advantageous in hard-to-reach areas. 

A New Standard for Connecting Glass Tubes
The new aluminum tube coupling from Michel Tube also sets new standards for connecting glass and stainless steel tubes. An innovative, patent-pending plug-in sleeve system allows for quick and flexible changes to connection combinations (glass/stainless steel – glass/glass – stainless steel/glass) on-site. Thanks to the defined stop and the soft seal, the glass tube cannot be damaged—of course, sealing grooves are also engraved in the插套 to compensate for glass tube tolerances as well as tube diameter variations. 

In general, the coupling is recyclable and can be manufactured with any PFA-free or medically certified seals—special requests are easily accommodated. The seal, manufactured in Germany, and the machined body enable fast delivery times thanks to automated production. Simplified disassembly thanks to the injection-molded and textured seal, as well as the spring action of the aluminum body, ensure a well-designed product lifecycle—the use of few components simplifies the calculation of the CO2 footprint.
