PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
At Michel Tube, the term “tube connector” refers to all clamp connections with a gasket insert that are used in vacuum applications or in suction conveying systems. This is the most common type of connection in the plastics industry. During assembly, two clean, deburred tube ends are inserted halfway into the tube connector. The two screws are tightened alternately, and the flat gasket provides the seal. Electrical charge is conducted via the so-called grounding strap.
Black seals are used as standard in the plastics industry. For high-temperature applications, we recommend the use of silicone seals, as these can withstand maximum temperatures of up to +220°C. In the food industry, we recommend FDA-compliant, light-colored seals that have the appropriate certification.
